Wilderness Encounters Bundle

What's inside · 78 pages per PDF

• Cover (page 1) and a Start Here page (page 2) with the contents, page ranges and the roll order.
• BONUS: d12 Where Terrains Meet (pages 3-4). 12 scenes for the day the road crosses from one terrain into the next, two for each pairing: forest and swamp, forest and mountain, forest and desert, swamp and mountain, swamp and desert, mountain and desert. Every scene has a twist and a threat tier, and points you to the book to roll on next.
• BONUS: Biome Finds (pages 5-6). A d20 table of finds for each terrain, 80 in all, for after a hard day's travel or when the party searches. Every find is useful, trouble, or both.
• Forest Encounters d100 (pages 7-24).
• Swamp Encounters d100 (pages 25-42).
• Mountain Encounters d100 (pages 43-60).
• Desert Encounters d100 (pages 61-78).

What each book gives you · 18 pages each

Per book that is 100 entries x 6 times of day x 8 weathers = 4,800 roll combinations. Threat tiers are system-neutral, so there is nothing to convert. No stat blocks: you bring your own system.

• 100 encounters in four number ranges: 01-35 beasts and hostiles, 36-65 people, 66-85 the terrain itself, 86-00 the uncanny. Every entry has a short name, a 1-2 sentence encounter, a Twist line and a threat tier (Low, Mid or High).
• 100 twists, each written for its own entry, so the encounter is more than a one-line prompt.
• A d6 Time of Day table and a d8 Weather table for that terrain, each result with a one-line effect on how the scene plays.
• A one-page roll strip with the condensed tables and all 100 encounter names, to slide behind a GM screen or keep beside your notes.
• A How to Use page, and a credits and license page.

How to use it

1. Roll d6 for time of day.
2. Roll d8 for weather.
3. Roll d100 for the encounter, then read the entry and its Twist.

When the party crosses a border, roll on Where Terrains Meet instead. After a day on the road, roll a d20 on that terrain's Biome Finds.

Everything here is also sold on its own

This bundle holds Forest Encounters d100 (book 1), Swamp Encounters d100 (book 2), Mountain Encounters d100 (book 3) and Desert Encounters d100 (book 4), unchanged, with the same layout and the same layers, so they work side by side. Each book is $4 on its own, and the two bonus tables are sold as the $3 add-on pack Wilderness Crossings and Finds: $19 bought separately, $16 together.
